Empoli Verde Glass Duck Decanter, Italy c.1960s

A highly collectible mid-century Italian Empoli green glass duck decanter, hand-blown in the 1960s and full of character. Its sculptural duck form is paired with a removable head stopper, blending playful design with practical use.

Originally designed in the 1950s by Gio Ponti for Taddei di Empoli, and later produced by the noted glassmaker Toso Bagnoli, this piece reflects the creativity and quality of classic Italian glassmaking.

Finished in the iconic “Empoli Verde,” the decanter features a rich, luminous green tone created naturally from the iron-rich sands of Empoli, Tuscany - making it a truly authentic and distinctive example of Empoli glass.

Both decorative and functional, it works beautifully as a statement piece on a bar cart, shelf, or table. Its unique form and vibrant colour make it an instant conversation starter and a standout addition to any collection.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. No chips. Unmarked.
