Inspired by classical design principles the new Pentreath & Hall Creamware Obelisk is taken from the wooden model of the public stone obelisk Ben designed in 2012 as a centrepiece for the South West Quadrant of King Charles III’s urban development Poundbury, in Dorset.
The P&H Creamware Obelisk is perfectly sized for the mantle or tabletop – and looks wonderful as a single, or even better in a pair!
Classically proportioned with bands of intricate vermiculated rustication alternated with smooth, echoing the texture of the original stone design atop and egg & dart decorated plinth, and topped with a ball finial.
Its transparent glaze finish highlights these details; the obelisk is slip cast using the finest creamy Cornish clay glazed and fired in Stoke on Trent.
Dimensions: Height 35cm.
