Vintage Admiralty Chart - Spain

These charts are from Ben’s extensive collection – partly, those from his father David, a Commodore in the Royal Navy, and others that he’s collected over the years.

Ben has always been drawn by the extraordinary intricacy with which the 19^th century cartographers mapped the landscapes and coastlines of Great Britain; they are fascinating not just as maps of places, but as astonishing examples of the art of the cartographer, and as pieces of beautiful graphic design.

They can be framed or simply pinned to the wall, like in Ben and Charlie’s bothy…

Dimensions approx. length 1.4m x height 70cm. These do vary in length, but not greatly in height.
