Vintage Geological survey map, one inch per mile, Scarborough, map no. 54

The Geological Survey was founded in 1835 as the Ordnance Geological Survey, under Henry De la Beche, originally as a branch of the Ordnance Survey.

It was the world's first national geological survey. We have a small stock of these beautiful and colourful maps published mainly between the 1950's and the 1970's.

Dimensions vary slightly from map to map - Width 71cm x Height 52cm.
